situated on the Gulf coast on Florida's Cape Haze Peninsular. Cape Haze
stretches from South Venice, in the North, to Boca Grande in the South,
with Englewood at the centre. You'll find this, as we did, to be a unique
piece of Old Florida charm, offering a genuine escape from the stresses
of 21st century living. A perfect place for that relaxing holiday.

For years Florida has been known as the Sunshine State and rightly so, with almost year round sunshine. Being close to the sea Rotonda West invariably has the benefit of gentle inshore breezes, whilst other places suffer the summer humidity.
Much of the Gulf Coast coastline
has never been developed in a big way - part of the areas charm
- but the bigger towns are still easily accessible via I-75 highway.
Tampa International Airport, about one and a half-hours drive to
the North, is a favourite arrival point, together with Orlando,
Sarasota, Fort Myers and Miami. |
